Toyota Kirloskar Motor aims growth in Northeast with regional stockyard in Guwahati

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Thursday has announced the launch of its first regional stockyard in India. The new stockyard in Guwahati will enable quicker delivery of vehicles across Northeast India, claims the automaker.

As Toyota Kirloskar Motor claims, the regional stockyard in Guwahati will make sure a leaner and efficient distribution network across the region. It would reduce the delivery time of the Toyota vehicles to a maximum of 2 days for furthermost dealers in the Northeast states from current 13 days.

Also, the new stockyard is expected to significantly enhance the distribution efficiency, reduce inventory cost and turnaround time for dealer working capital besides facilitating Toyota Kirloskar Motor dealers to meet customer requirements faster. This would allow the Toyota Kirloskar Motor dealers to focus on the core area of sales and aftersales.

Besides the new products, Toyota Kirloskar Motor is also emphasising on enhancing its sales and service networks across the country in order to strengthen business. The new regional stockyard comes as part of that strategy.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Regional Stockyard in Guwahati

In the last two years, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched two new 3S (sales, service and spare parts) outlets in the Northeast region. One in Naharlagun in Arunachal Pradesh and the other in Imphal in Manipur. Also, the automaker launched a first-of-its-kind pro-service centre in Jorhat in Assam. Overall, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has 13 customer touch points in the Northeast region.

Commenting on the launch of a new regional stockyard in Guwahati, Naveen Soni, Senior Vice President, Sales and Service, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said that the automaker has been witnessing growing demand from the Northeast region over the years. “In line with our customer-first approach, we have been expanding our sales and service network in this region to enhance our services to our customers. At the same time, we are also strengthening our processes and enhancing manpower capability at dealerships to address the growing market requirements,” said Soni.

He also said that with the launch of the stockyard, bringing home a Toyota Kirloskar Motor vehicle will now become easier and faster.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has recently introduced the Urban Cruiser compact SUV, which is based on Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. Among them is the Glanza premium hatchback, based on the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Apart from that, other products from the brand’s portfolio include Fortuner SUV and Innova Crysta MPV, Yaris sedan, Camry hybrid sedan and Vellfire luxury MPV.
