The festive season means rain of offers and discounts in the Indian auto market. Also, the automakers launch special edition models of the existing vehicles to lure the buyers. Maruti Suzuki Swift is one of the most popular cars in India, didn’t let the chance go and introduced a special edition, which comes priced Rs 24,999 more than the regular trims of the hatchback that is available between Rs 5.19 lakh and Rs 8.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The car is available in all Maruti Suzuki dealerships across the country.
The special edition Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback gets cosmetic updates only. No mechanical changes have been made in this model. Among the cosmetic updates, the Maruti Suzuki Swift special edition model gets a black theme accentuated with accessories like fog lamp cluster, glossy black body kit, spoiler, bodyside moulding, rain deflector for windows etc. Inside the cabin, the car gets sporty seats as well.
The accessories package is available on all four variants of the Maruti Suzuki Swift – LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+.

Commenting on the launch of the Maruti Suzuki Swift special edition, MSI Executive Director (Marketing and Sales) Shashank Srivastava said, “Since launch, with its disruptive looks and peppy performance, Swift has been one of the best performers in our portfolio and helped us strengthen leadership in the premium hatchback segment.”
He also said, how over the three generations, Maruti Suzuki Swift has evolved in terms of features, design and technology. The Swift has sold more than 23 lakh units since its inception in India.
Maruti Suzuki Swift competes against two models in this segment, which are Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Ford Figo. The largest carmaker of India is currently working on a facelift variant of the Swift hatchback that would come with design cues similar to the 2020 Suzuki Swift, already on sale in some markets. However, Maruti Suzuki would add some additional changes to the facelifted Swift according to the Indian tastes.
