It seems the notches and punch-hole cameras are not exciting anymore in the world of smartphones. The smartphone manufacturers across the world have already tried their hands on pop-up selfie cameras as well, but what it seems is the new trend is going to be the under-display selfie cameras. Yes, Realme is the latest addition in the list, where ZTE has already enrolled its name and Oppo and Xiaomi too are working.
ZTE Axon 20 5G smartphone has already received an under-display selfie camera to be the first model to get such technology. Now, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Realme too seems to be working on the same technology, as one of the key company executives has teased the smartphone with an under-display selfie camera.
Realme Vice President Xu Qi Chase took to Weibe to share an image of the new phone with an under-display selfie camera. It doesn’t have any notches or punch holes like the majority of the available phones in the market. However, the phone image doesn’t reveal anything about a pop-up camera as well.
How to be sure about an under-display camera?
Chase himself has confirmed in the comments of his post that there will be no pop-up camera onboard the upcoming smartphone. Hence, the conclusion is that Realme is working on an in-display camera technology, which would be integrated into the upcoming flagship model of the Chinese smartphone major.
However, no further details about the phone were revealed. We will bring you more details whenever the company reveals any further information.
Other phone manufacturers like Oppo and Xiaomi too have already shown their under-display camera technologies earlier in 2019.
It can be assumed that the world of smartphones is ready to see a new change in the design of the selfie cameras, which would allow more screen space for the makers.
