Hero Splendor+ is the new addition to the homegrown two-wheeler major Hero MotoCorp’s portfolio. Based on the iconic Splendor motorcycle, the special edition model is christened as the Hero Splendor+ Black and Accent. The special edition Hero Spelndor+ Black and Accent motorcycle is priced at Rs 64,470 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
As Hero MotoCorp claims, the graphic themes for the Hero Splendor+ Black and Accent are priced at Rs 899, across the country. Customers can also buy the complete kit including graphics, 3D Hero MotoCorp logo and rim tape at a Rs 1,399.
The three variants:
- Hero Splendor+ Black and Accent Beetle Red
- Hero Splendor+ Black and Accent Firefly Golden
- Hero Splendor+ Black and Accent Bumble Bee Yellow
Speaking about the design, the Hero Splendor+ Black and Accent edition comes in an ‘all-black’ avatar with black tyres, blackened engine and black chain cover. The customers can choose from three distinct design themes – Beetle Red, Firefly Golden and Bumble Bee Yellow.

With this special edition motorcycle, the two-wheeler manufacturer adds new colours to the portfolio in the festive season.
As company claims, the Hero Splendor+ Black and Accent comes with first-in-category customisation options for the customers with the graphics of their choice during purchase. They can also opt for the model without any graphics at all.
The graphics for the Hero Spelndor+ Black and Accent edition motorcycle have been selected from the ‘Hero CoLabs’ contest, in which around 10,000 participants from across the country participated to create graphics design themes for the Hero Splendor+ motorcycle. Top 3 designs among all the entries have been selected for production.

Commenting on the launch of the Hero Splendor+ Black and Accent edition motorcycle, Malo Le Masson, Head of Strategy, Hero MotoCorp, said, “This is an excellent example of Hero MotoCorp’s new vision and mission of moving ahead with a collaborative approach and achieving synergy between the digital and physical world. Within five months, we have put the winning designs, from the contest, into production and made them available to our customers. We will continue to bring more such creative initiatives in the future.”
Hero MotoCorp last month has posted double-digit YoY growth (16.1%) with 6,97,293 units sold, as compared to 6,00,509 units recorded in the same month a year ago. The largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the world has grabbed a market share of 37.70% in September 2020, as compared to 36.25% in September 2019, marking a 1.46% growth in market share. Only Bajaj Auto (1.16%) and Yamaha (0.17%) were able to post a growth in market share in September 2020.
